Ingredients of Easter bread
- Prepare 100 gms of milk.
- Prepare 10 gms of yeast.
- It’s 200 gms of flour.
- It’s 30 gms of blueband.
- It’s 20 gms of sugar.
- Prepare 1 pinch of salt.
- Prepare 100 gms of sultanas.
- You need 20 gms of cashews.
- It’s 30 gms of lemon peel (candied).
- It’s 10 gms of apricot jam.
- You need of Lemon fondant (icing sugar and few drops of lemon).
- You need 20 grams of almonds,peanuts,cashews roughly chopped.
Easter bread step by step
- Sift the flour on a work table and make a well.
- Cream sugar butter and salt and rest of ingredients minus apricot jam and 20gms nuts.
- Place the the above creamed mixture in the middle of the well Together with the milk and the yeast.
- Knead into a dough and form into a ball and let double in size.
- Cut across doubled dough and bake to a golden brown at 220 for around 20mins.
- Glaze with apricot jam while still warm then add warm fondant on top.
- Sprinkle nuts and let cool.
- Serve it to the multitudes.
