7-Up Pound Cake. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Cook in a saucepan until the sugar is dissolved. While the cake is still warm take a toothpick and punch holes through out the cake and pour the glaze over the cake.

7-Up Pound Cake step by step
- Preheat oven 350°F.
- With electric blender whip butter..
- Slowly add sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time. Blend them well.
- Next blend flour in slowly.
- Add the vanilla flavor and then the lemon extract.
- Pour cup of 7-up and blend until creamy.
- Bake 1hr 15min.
- Cool for 15min.
- Turn over on plate..

When I saw the photo of this cake in the Grandbaby Cakes cookbook, I had to have it! I rushed to order it, and I'm so glad I did. The baked cake slid out perfectly and it gave me a beautiful, perfect cake. For the glaze, I usually double the recipe and add fresh lemon juice as well. Soft, moist and can be made as bundt cake or pound cake.
