  1. You need 3/4 cup of Butter.
  2. You need 1 1/3 cup of Sugar.
  3. It’s 2 of Eggs.
  4. It’s 1 1/4 tsp of Pure Vanilla Extract (I like the pure vanilla from Mexico best).
  5. It’s 2 cup of Cake Flour.
  6. You need 3/4 cup of Hershey's® UnsweetenedCocoa.
  7. It’s 1 1/4 tsp of Baking Soda.
  8. It’s 1/2 tsp of Salt.
  9. It’s 1 1/3 cup of Water.
  10. You need 1/2 cup of Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips.
  11. It’s 1/2 cup of Finely chopped Walnuts.

Teri's Chocolate Crack Cake step by step

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. In a large mixing bowl.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. In a small bowl.
  5. Combine eggs and vanilla.
  6. Mix together with a fork.
  7. Slowly add eggs/vanilla mixture to butter/sugar mixture.
  8. Beat for 1 to 2 minutes on medium speed.
  9. In small mixing bowl.
  10. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt – stir together well.
  11. Alternate mixing in the water and flour mixture to wet ingredients (Lg bowl).
  12. Mix in walnuts and chocolate chips.
  13. Pour batter into 2 round greased and floured cake pans.
  14. Bake at 350° for 30-45 minutes.
  15. When toothpick comes out clean it is done.
  16. Cool for 10 minutes.
  17. Remove from pans.
  18. Completely cool on wire racks.
  19. Frost with Emmes Chocolate Buttercream Frosting.
  20. Enjoy.
