Ingredients of Orange Cake
- It’s 1 cup of all purpose flour.
- Prepare 1/2 cup of castor sugar.
- Prepare 1/4 cup of oil/melted butter.
- It’s 1/4 cup of orange juice.
- It’s 2 of eggs.
- Prepare 1 tsp of orange zest.
- It’s 1 tbsp of orange rinds.
- It’s 1 tsp of baking powder.
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of soda bicarb.
- Prepare 2 tbsp of chopped almond and chopped walnut.
Orange Cake step by step
- Blend oiland sugar together..
- Add eggs one by one and blend till creamy.Add lemon zest..
- Sieve together all pupose flour,baking powder and soda bicarb..
- Add portion by portion to the sugar-egg-oil mixture.Fold.Add orange juice also..
- Coat dry fruits and chopped orange rinds in 1tsp of all purpose flour.Add to the batter.FoldTransfer to a greased baking tin..
- Preheat an oven at 180°c for 10 minutes..
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes(baking time varies from over to oven.My cake done in 37 minutes,so check accordingly).
- After 30 minutes,decrease the tempreture of oven to 170°c and further bake..
- Check the cake by inserting a toothpick,if it comeout clean,the cake is baked properly,if does not extend the baking for few minutes..
- Cool and take out the cake from cake tin,slice and serve..
