Ingredients of Dates & Tamarind chutney (saunth)
- You need 50 gram of tamarind.
- It’s 50 gram of jaggery.
- You need 15-20 of dates (khajoor).
- You need 1 teaspoon of roasted Jeera powder.
- It’s to taste of salt.
- Prepare 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper.
- Prepare 1 teaspoon of red chilli powder.
- Prepare 1 tablespoon of raisins.
- It’s as needed of black salt.
Dates & Tamarind chutney (saunth) step by step
- Soak tamarind for 2-3 hours. Remove Seeds of dates..
- Grind tamarind & dates into smooth paste. Strain paste with a big strainer..
- Heat a pan.
- Add tamarind & dates paste, 1/2 cup water, jaggery, salt, red chilli powder & Add tamarind & dates paste and jeera powder.
- Bring it to 3-4 boils. Add raisins..
- Once thick chutney ready remove from gas..
- Once cool. Keep it in fridge. You can use it at least 15 days..
