Ingredients of fresh cream sponge cake
- You need 175 grams of caster sugar.
- You need 175 grams of butter.
- Prepare 3 large of eggs.
- You need 175 grams of self raising flour.
- You need 1 tsp of baking powder.
- You need 1 can of fresh dairy cream.
fresh cream sponge cake instructions
- preheat oven to 180°c.
- whisk together butter and caster sugar until light and flufft.
- beat eggs in jug then gradually add bit by bit to mixture beating cinstantly.
- sieve flour and baking powder together twice.
- fold into mix with a metal spoon.do not beat or all air will be removed and cake will be flat.
- share mixture between two baking tins lined with baking paper.
- bake in oven for 15-20minutes .test if cooked by placing a knife into cake.if it comes out clean its cooked.
- leave on to cool on wire rack.
- when cake is cool spread jam on one side and then whipped cream on top.
- put top onto cake and sprinkle with icing sugar.
- enjoy!!.
