the very best buttermilk banana bread!
8 tbsp unsalted butter slightly melted
1 & 1/2 cup granulated sugar
mix for 2 minutes
add 1 egg and mix until combined
add egg #2 and mix until combined
5 to 6 ripe bananas
break the bananas up in smaller pieces
add to the bowl with the mixer on
3 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 + 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 + 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
mix
1/2 cup chopped pecans – optional
add some of the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients
turn on the mixer and slowly add 1 cup of buttermilk
stop to scrape the sides down
add the rest of the flour
mix and add remaining buttermilk
add chopped pecans
bake at 300°F for 1 hour and 15 minutes
