Webdespite the multitude of baking pans in your kitchen, at some point you’ll run across a recipe calling for a pan you don’t have. Like, your grandma’s recipe for apple cake specifies an 11” x 7” pan — really? You can choose a different recipe or go online to buy the specified pan. But honestly, the answer’s probably already in your cupboard;

Like most of my other cake recipes, this cake is baked at 350°f (177°c). I used a 9×13 baking pan, but if you prefer to make a layered cake see my faq section. Whisk the dry ingredients together: Cover with foil after 20 minutes or until top is browned. Check every 5 minutes towards end of cooking to see if done. Remove from oven and loosen edges of bread with a knife. Webpour the cake mixture into the 9×13 inch pan, smooth with a spatula. Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture all over the cake. Use a butter knife or spatula to swirl this mixture into the cake batter.
