What are Rock Cakes?
Rock cakes are a traditional British teatime treat made from a simple dough of flour, butter, sugar, eggs and dried fruit. This dough is then scooped into small balls and baked until golden brown and crispy. They are usually served warm with butter and jam, or as an accompaniment to a cup of tea. Rock cakes are a great way to use up any excess ingredients you have in the cupboard, and make a delicious treat for all the family to enjoy.
