Located in the small town of Tyringham, Massachusetts deep in the Berkshires sits a picturesque gingerbread house, straight from a fairytale–no, it’s not actually made out of gingerbread. Santarella is a whimsical house that was originally built back in 1739, then later renovated to its current state in 1920 by Sir Henry Hudson Kitson, a famous sculptor who lived there up until his death in 1947. Although you can rent out the house for private events, Santarella is also a great place to stop by and take some beautiful pictures. The majestic, fairytale-like building is perfectly complimented by the natural beauty of the surrounding Berkshires. Just be careful: make sure you don’t get lured inside by a witch!
